The Ministry of External (MEA) affairs issued a joint press statement consisting of five points which were agreed by both the sides during a meeting between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Moscow on Thursday. The two foreign ministers agreed that the current situation in the border areas is not favorable for both the countries. The Five-Point plan intends to establish peace and tranquility in the border areas and to avoid any action that could escalate matters or dispute between both the countries.
