A septuagenarian has challenged the BCI rule prescribing age limit for 3-year LL.B course. The applicant, Rajkumari Tyagi, 77-year-old women has moved a plea to intervene in a case, Rishabh Duggal v. Bar Council of India (BCI), which is already pending on the issue wherein the revenant BCI rule has been challenged. The applicant has urged the court to declare that she has a fundamental right to pursue legal studies and that very right is protected under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
