Delhi HC issued notice in a petition challenging Faculty of Law, BCI to conduct previous semester exam for promoted students.

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice in a petition challenging the decision of Bar Council of India (BCI) and Faculty of Law, Delhi University to conduct previous semester examination for promoted students. The petitioners are final year law students who claim that conducting end-semester examination of the previous semester after promoting students to the next semester is contrary to the UGC notification. The petitioner further states that it is unfair, unjust, discriminatory and prejudicial to the interests of the students to conduct examination for the semesters for which students have been already promoted. The notice was issued by a single Judge Bench of Justice Jayant Nath.
