COVID-19 has turned the world upside down with its terror and amidst this Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha university decided to conduct examination of previous semester for students in offline mode , the students are quite unhappy with the decision and have flooded twitter with enormous tweets on what is going to happen if students residing outstation would travel so far for the exam amid such adverse situation!
Bar Council of India on 27.05.2020 and 09.06.2020 has issued guidelines titled ‘Guidelines for Online Examinations’ with regard to conduct of Examinations. It has been clearly stated that the Universities shall conduct the previous end semester examinations within a month of reopening of the colleges. The guidelines specifically have talked about conducting Online examination and nothing has been said about offline mode and none of IPU college’s have been opened till date .
Even after receiving clear guidelines from BCI , GGSIPU has issued two notice which has brought alot of rucus among the student . 2 notices have been issued on 30th September which is talking about internal exam if current semester in online mode and second notice has been issued on same day regarding external examination of previous semester . The decision taken by the authorities has brought students in a situation of protest as it’s their health that they are being asked to risk upon. The notification released by university is vague in nature. The datesheets which have been issued are creating alot of confusion regarding the mode of examination i.e online or offline and not even clear on whether it’s mandatory or not all of this has been nothing but a mental torcher for students .
