The Supreme Court Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and MR Shah set aside the interim bail which is granted to former minister of Uttar Pradesh, Gayatri Prajapati, a rape accused. The bail was granted by the Allahabad High Court for two months on medical grounds. The court also noted that, Prajapati was being provided with an adequate medical care by the jail authorities and as such there was no requirement of two-month interim bail.
